Microsoft has released the Windows 8.1 update as of 17th October. Ai Squared have advised that the current release of ZoomText 10.1 is not compatible with Windows 8.1 and will cause severe problems, rendering your system unusable and challenging to resolve. Therefore…
– Do not install the current release of ZoomText 10.1 in Windows 8.1.
– If you already have a Windows 8 system with ZoomText 10.1 installed, do not update your system to Windows 8.1 without first uninstalling ZoomText 10.1.

Fortunately, Windows 8.1 is not an automatic update. You have to go into the Microsoft Store, search for it, and download it so this won’t just happen to you due to automatic updates.

AI Squared will be releasing a ZoomText update that includes support for Windows 8.1 and we can let you know when this becomes available.
